CYBERSPACE - Apparently, 20-somethings are increasingly turning to the Internet to diagnose illnesses, physical maladies and spider bites.

Of course, we laugh now, but as health insurance increasingly becomes a luxury item, maybe they’re on to something.

All we know is that we can’t discern between black and navy blue in dim light, so misdiagnoses are going to be a certainty, and bogus home remedies are sure to follow.

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. - During the Great Depression, it was common for tradesmen to travel door-to-door hoping to eke out a living.

Have drill, will travel.

It was uncommon for practitioners of the medical arts to do so.

Now, as health care costs soar beyond the grasp of many Americans, meet the door-to-door dentist. Equipped with a pickup truck, a modified lawn chair and dental equipment, drive-by dentists could be the wave of the future.

Just make sure you get a good one and not somebody like this guy.
