KIGALI, Rwanda - Correspondents in Rwanda are reporting that government troops in the Democratic Republic of Congo have taken to sodomizing local Pygmies in an effort to obtain supernatural powers.

The Human Rights League of the Great Lakes, a local advocacy group, issued a statement that read, “Some soldiers from the 85th Brigade sodomised three male pygmies to gain supernatural powers and protection in Kisa village in Walikale territory.

“The village chief was stripped and (sodomised) in the presence of his wife, his children and daughter in-law.

“The children in turn were stripped and raped in front of their father.”

If ever the adage “pick on someone your won size” applied …

No Mercy for Madonna

LILONGWE, Malawi - Pop star Madonna’s bid to add another Malawian child to her collection has been denied by a judge who said allowing the adoption would set a “dangerous precedent” to bend the rules requiring prospective parents to live in the impoverished southern African country for at least 18 months.

However, Malawi’s Minister of Child Welfare on Thursday came out in support of Madonna’s application to 3-year-old Chifundo “Mercy” James.

According to the Associated Press, Madonna will appeal the decision.

Environmental havoc in Lake Victoria causing crocs to hunt humans

KAMPALA, Uganda - Lake Victoria, the world’s largest tropical lake, has long been an ecological nightmare with rampant pollution and introduced non-native species like the Nile perch wreaking havoc on the natural flora and fauna.

Moses Kabuusu, Member of Parliament from Uganda’s Kalangala district, now believes that the amount of fish in the lake has become so low that crocodiles are increasingly turning to humans as a food source.

Think about that the next time you toss something in a storm drain. There are always consequences to our actions.
