The U.S. Constitution: Protecting the rights of the stupid for over 200 years
FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. - TV’s cartoon icon Homer Simpson once loudly proclaimed, “I am so smart! S-M-R-T! I mean, S-M-A-R-T!”

"What this property could really use is a misspelled sign denigrating the newly-elected president!"
It’s sort of charming when a fictional buffoon does what buffoons do.
It’s not so charming when fiction becomes reality.
Larry Ford of Walton Beach proudly flies a Confederate flag on his property. Recently, he added two large signs that read “January 20, 2009, A Day of Darkness, Hussen [sic]” to voice his displeasure over the election of President Barack Obama. Obama’s middle name — as certain factions love to keep reminding us — is, of course, Hussein.
Explaining his actions to the Northwest Florida Daily News, Ford said, “We’ve got a man who shouldn’t even be president. He’s an insult to the decent, hard-working people that made this country what it is.”
When informed that he misspelled “Hussein,” Ford wittily shot back, “”I think everybody knows who I’m talking about, don’t you? American people are the stupidest people in the world, but something like that I think they can figure out.”
It takes one to know one, son.
